In 2017 alone, businesses in England and Wales lost £14 billion due to time off work and reduced productivity as a direct result of Domestic Abuse. Amy’s journey began in 2010, when, at the young age of 18, she found herself isolated in an extremely controlling relationship. This personal experience became the driving force behind her career in policing, where she progressed to the role of Detective Constable, specialising in high-risk Domestic Abuse cases, Safeguarding, Sexual Abuse, and Child Protection.Driven by a desire to be proactive rather than reactive, Amy made the decision to leave the Police Force and focus on advocacy full-time. Her lived experience, combined with frontline professional insight, fuels her passion to raise awareness and offer support to those navigating the complexities of Domestic Abuse. Over the past five years, she has dedicated herself to empowering individuals and challenging the silence that often surrounds these issues.
